Subject: 1000 pt fun eldar list - should I take fire prisms?

here is a list I was going to use for a fun game tonight:
HQ:
1x Spirit Seer
Troops:
3x Jet Bikes
10x Guardian Defenders (plus Shuiken Catapult) in wave serpent with SL SCanon and Holo
5x Wraithguard in wave serpent with SL SCanon and Holo
Heavy Support:
2x Fire Prisms with Holo
I mostly built this list around things I have just bought/painted... but afterwards I looked at it and thought "hmm is this cheesy"
just wondering should I lighten it and if so how? I have a fair selection of things to bring, like I say this was simply my new stuff

Stick to one wave serpent at most if you want a lighter list. I personally rarely take them in fun games now, it just causes angst. Take some of the lesser used aspect warriors or something (I find Swooping Hawks to be great fun in these sort of games)

I have some hawks... not fully painted up yet but I could take them yeah you're right the only reason I take them is that they are actually *meant* to transport my men - it's just that they cost so much they always need to be used as tanks too (if you get me) off-topic but Eldar miss a weak cheap fast open topped transport so I would worry if I took them without transport because they are VERY squishy - i.e vastly over powered if transported vastly under powered if not

Yeah I generally like to use jetbikes (although some argue they're pretty OP for their points cost) there are no heldrakes in my meta though so that would change things!

Looks good mate!
I wouldn't use the Shuriken Cannon with Guardians. To be honest, if they're transported with Serpent I wouldn't take any HW to them.
Their Shuriken Catapults should do most of the job in close distance.

2 serpents and 2 prisms is going to be rough if your up against a casual list. I agree about dropping one of the serpents for some other stuff. The guardians can run on foot with a heavy weapon, and avengers also do well on foot.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

If you want to drop the Serpent, I would throw a stock farseer in with the guardians for the buffs, and to give them LD 10. Then I would drop the cannon on the Wraithguard Serpent to give them D-Scythes.
