Your input is welcomed. Looking for a fun balanced list. I love the hive guard models but I don't know where I could place them in my army.

HQ:

2 Flyrants w/ two TL devourers with brainleech worms - 460

Troops:

Warrior brood w/ barbed strangler and 2 deathspiters - 110
Hormagaunts x20 - 100
Hormagaunts x20 - 100
Termagants x30 - 120

Elite:

Zoanthrope brood x2 - 100

Heavy:

Dakkafex brood x2 - 300
Tyrannofex w/ flesh borer hive and regen - 210

Hey there, I would consider splitting up the terms into two squads as you will be able to spread the bodies more over the board and head towards different objectives if need be. Also have you considered a venomthrope? This could increase survivability for you troops and really help the guys pulling up the rear with a 3+ cover save.

I could easily drop some troops to make room for a Venomthrope. My question is, will one suffice or will I need at least two? I can run a 15 and 16 hormagaunt brood and split the 30 man termagant to 15 each.

Well at this point level I would start with just one and see how it fairs. Keep it behind LOS blocking terrain if possible or in ruins while moving up. The hive tyrants should keep them busy for a turn or two while your other guys get up the field.

This looks like a good list. I would drop regen off of the tyrannofex and the upgrades off of the warriors and put those points towards at least one venom. The +2 to cover is absolutely essential for lists with lots of troops. Synapse looks good, plenty of MCs. I think with a venom that this list is solid. It's nice to see someone using horms for once. I use them as screeners in a lot of my games, but its hard to rationalize them for competitive games.

I've only three warriors and this is what they're equipped with (I don't like to proxy ). I did drop the regen on the tyrannofex as well as some gaunts to make room for 2 Venoms. Looks like a pretty solid list.

Looks nice After you play a game or two, you can tweak it to fit (if needed...) The only thing I would have done differant is I like putting Adrenal Gland on the Tyranofex If you find you need a speedier Big Bug, you can easily add it in...
