So recently I have been looking at involving my CSM in battle once more. I haven't touched these since old Gaz decided to invade Armaggedon for the second time and Albion had just been discovered in Fantasy. So to get the motivation back into the models I recently invested in 30 CSM off Ebay with lots of spec weapon options, with the intention of running a footslogging CSM fun list with lots of infiltrating via cypher and/or huron.
Money is tight atm so I wont be investing in models I do not own.
Chaos Lord (with MoK CSM)
MoK, Jugger, AoBF, SoC
15 CSM
MoK
Ccw + bp
5 CSM
Heavy bolter
5 CSM
Heavy bolter
2 oblitorators
MoN
2 oblitorators
MoN
1 oblitorator
MoN
Cypher (Infiltrates the CSM blob and Lord)
10 chosen
5 plasma guns
10 chosen
4 melta guns, lightening claw
10 chosen
4 flamers, lightening claw
1850pts
The chosen and CSM blob with Jugger Lord all infiltrate (already checked that my opponents are ok with this).
Other CSM squads and oblitorators with PG chosen provide fire support whilst other 3 squads get stuck in.
I also have at my disposal:
10 chaos termis,
1 more oblit,
Land raider,
Rhino,
Abaddon,
Choas Lord on foot (can proxy this as huron or another if needed)
5 man havoc squad inc 3 ml and 1 las.
Handful more CSM.
I can proxy from my extensive BA list if needed, plenty of preds, vindis, rhinos and tacs that are easy cross overs.
So whilst not trying to be uber competative (obviously), as I would stick with my crons if that was the issue, in your opinion, how can I make the list more effective with what I have, continuing the infiltrating theme?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh I also have a robed BA assault unit and command squad which can proxy quite nicely if i take the meltas from each as another 10 man 4 melta cypher chosen instead of the flamer unit. Just a few too many eagles for that chaos look...
