I'm in a 2000 point + free Lord of War (as many points as you want and it doesn't fill your LOW slot) competition this Saturday. I would like everyone's opinion on this list I am planning on taking.

Free Lord of War: Transcendent C'tan with Transliminal Stride, Antimatter Meteor, and Wave of Withering
HQ = Overlord with Warscyth
Royal Court = 3 Despair Teks
Troops = 4 units of 5 Immortals (gauss)
Elites = 3 units of 5 Deathmarks in Scythes with a Despair Tek
Heavy = Annihilation Barge (gauss)
Fast Attack = 3 Wraiths with Whip Coils
5 Destroyers with 3 Heavy
5 Scarabs
Lord of War = Obelisk

I split the Immortals up into so many units for 2 reasons. 1. More scoring units 2. There will be LOTS of D-Weapons running around.

I'd probably think of adding another couple of troops. With so much D, you're probably going to want to get as much scoring as possible and hope that at least one survives until the end of the game.

May I suggest a Revenant or Warhound then? Since it's not using your LoW slot you can probably use whatever you want.

By god thats an awful rule though.

I don't own the revenant or warhound...I probably shouldn't have splurged and gotten the C'tan/Obelisk kit. Ahh well, I have hashed things out a bit more and my lists looks a bit different.

Well expect whoever has brought a Reaver or Phantom wins. I'd take 2 Waves of Withering on the C'tan, the more D the better.

I'd want as many Stormteks as possible if you kill his big thing you win. I'd definitely go double court and ensure everything arrives by flyer so your opponents big stuff is largely useless. You want 3-6 Annihilation Barges. Wraiths aren't great when Destroyer weapons are around I'd drop them and the D-Lord. I'd only have 2 death and despair squad both with double despairtek. Then everything else is warriors/immortals with stormteks in Nightscythes. I'd also dump the Obelisk Necrons have better ways to kill fluers.
