The burning pits of Hades, also known as Sweden in summer

Models to can choose themselves which weapon to use, but can they choose not to attack at all, or even to make fewer attacks than their full allocation?

I checked my BRB, could not find where it is, if the rule exists. Do you know? IIRC, you must always make your full attacks, but I just can't seem to find it...
