I enjoy writing up my battles but have a few problems.

Primary one is that I want to be able to write my batrep up rapidly after the game, on the same device as I took the pics on. Then use this same device to upload my batrep.

This suggests a tablet of some kind, but most (all?) of them seem primed for skype calls rather than taking pics.

I wondered if any dakkanaughts had a good solution to this.

My current solution is my digi camera, but the hassle of uploading the pics, indexing them and then (usually days later) embedding in a batrep is a bit onerous as I'm very time constrained (it definitely limits the number of batreps I do).

Camera is the best results.

From my experience there is no difference form an I phone, Ipad and so on that just using the SD card and copying them like you do with a phone.

But then you cant use 1 device for both.

So although its not really what you want I will still say camera is best.

I think buying a tripod for an iPhone, and buying an iPad (my preference is mini, but any model will do). Your pictures will automatically be shared onto your iPad through iCloud.

If iPhone quality pics aren't good enough (they are good quality in my opinion), but uploading from a digital camera to your computer is too much hassle, then I remember Samsung released a "smart camera" which I presume would have cloud sharing with a Galaxy Tab. I'm a dedicated Apple user however, and so have no experience with the quality of Samsung Tablets

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

The DSLR is best, but if you have to compromise between usability and photograph quality, the Nokia Lumiya is a really nice piece of kit for blogging from its onboard camera.

DSLR are expensive, most don't,t have that level of kit, but crossover cameras or bridge, SLR level sensers, high optical zoom, good quality but simple to use.

There a good middle ground between basic point and click and full SLR camera.

For the record I own both types, a olmpus 350uz and cannon 400d as well as a film SLR, old olmypus om10 :-)

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

There's a whole thread dedicated to this subject, and it has a ton of awesome pics to boot.
