So I just got the blood for the blood god paint and was errr 'decorating' some of my assault marines when I found one with a power weapon. It got me thinking, does the power field around PWs let blood onto the weapon? Does it evaporate the blood or does it let it through?

Doesn't matter how I came by it. Point is, this is the genuine article: a Space Marine bolter. Cursed? Only if you get caught with it. Here, I'll show you how easy it is.

This should probably be in background, and good question.
I would think not, as the power field is meant to disintegrate what ever touches it (except for the weapon, obviously. Maybe it only works 1 way...)

All the fluff / novels I have read have the blood evaporating or boiling off because of the weapons power field.
So maybe ' decorate ' the marine with a little blood, but not the power weapon.

Of course if you killed something with the power field turned off, and just crammed the weapon back into its scabbard so the blood dries, what happens when you later use it again as a PW?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

The blood is disintegrated, probably.
