Been messing with the idea of a Raukaan drop list for a while now. With the physical release of the codex supplement, I've finally taken a closer look at it. This list assumes no fliers, or ignores them if they are present (it will be in the enemy's deployment zone).

HQ
Master of the Forge
-Ironstone

2x Techmarine
-Servo Harness, Combi-Plasma

Elites
7x Sternguard
-Pod

Ironclad Dreadnought
-Pod, Heavy Flamer, Meltagun (Dreadnought Fist + Seismic Hammer)

Troops
5x Tac Marines
-Pod, Plasmagun, Combi-Plasma

5x Tac Marines
-Pod, Plasmagun, Combi-Plasma

Heavy Support
Ironclad Dreadnought
-Pod, Heavy Flamer, Meltagun (Dreadnought Fist + Seismic Hammer)

Ironclad Dreadnought
-Pod, Heavy Flamer, Meltagun (Dreadnought Fist + Seismic Hammer)

-Pod, Heavy Flamer, Meltagun (Dreadnought Fist + Seismic Hammer)

Master of the Forge deploys with the Sternguard and likely drops in an initial wave of three Ironclads, providing them with a 12'' bubble of 4+ IWND. Each having a meltagun and heavy flamer allows them to do both jobs of clearing out a horde or shooting through a transport. Sternguard do what Sternguard do, and I have 30 points to throw at them for meltabombs or combi-weapons. Second wave of pods are the techmarines and tac squads, each pod being able to unleash a withering storm of plasma fire (Sergeant combi + Squad Plasma + Techmarine Harness + Techmarine Combi). Hopefully the dreadnoughts aren't all dead at this point and a few get into CC, but if not a fourth hits the dirt along with the tac marines. Variable, of course, on reserve rolls.

Thoughts?

They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.

Not enough tactical marines at first glance. At 1500 I usually take at least two full squads. If there are fliers they'll easily pop your dreadnoughts open and you'll be left to face everything of your opponent's with 20 men.

The list can be easily amended to include more troops. Fliers, I don't see as much of a concern, as unless they have a 360'' firing arc on AV weapons my dreadnoughts are safe until T3. If they hover when they enter, they're easily addressed.

Drop Sternguard, add a third techmarine, add a third tac squad, both kitted as above.

Yeah, the troops are being used to lead the assault which almost always leads to the death of all your scoring units. I like the concept of the dreads in their deployment zone on turn 1, but the troops might be more effective on bikes or in rhinos riding up the field (hammer to the anvil) to meet the dreads.

Also, 15 scoring bodes is way too low even if they weren't going to be part of the initial assault. I like the idea of a plasma squad with the techmarine for a nice 6 shot, 6 model plasma pod though... neat concept.

Also, to comment on the flier situation, keep in mind that they can come on the board from any part of the board edge, at any angle... so they can pick the far corner and make a very sharp angle (almost parallel to their board edge) and will be able to at least get side armor, if not rear. Fliers are just nasty ha.

Honestly, the part I like best about the list is the min tac squads in the pod with the character with plama... it would be a neat idea if you could use Ultra marines tactics to re-roll 1's on the turn they come in... but that's a whole different idea I guess...

I think that you really need a Rhino for the troops
