So I know of few of you, but I would be curious to how many Dakkites who play Infinity live in the greater DC Metro area or beltway.
I don't personally play anywhere yet as I am still trying to settle on a force that I like both thematically and something I can handle painting. Weekends are the only days available to me to travel to games, I am a member of the beltway gamers, but they only host Infinity nights on Wednesday and when you commute 100 miles a day, screw doing it again on a weeknight.

I'm mostly in the Baltimore side of the beltway instead of the DC side. But then again I'm in Annapolis now, so I'm smack in between both of them.
Usually I go up to Dropzone in Glen Burnie to paint and hang out. And I'll go to Games n' Stuff if there is a group that is going to be going.
I've got a couple friends that are gradually gearing up to play, and I've been helping them paint and model and the like, though we've been doing it over at their place (which is basically like a nuclear bomb went off in a bachelor pad... I wouldnt' subject anyone to that).

So How is it at Dropzone, for Infinity? It would be close to a ~120 mile round trip for me, but if it is a good scene, I'd consider it every so often.

It waxes and wanes, apparently Warmachine is what is popular at the moment, but there are a lot of people who play lots of games. Infinity seemed to be a game where players would pick it up to give it a shot since the model count was so low.
They have an EXCELLENT fully built Infinity table, with lots of Micro Arts terrain and the like. But you have to have a fully painted force in order to play on it. Not that that is very hard.
I'll keep an eye on their calendar, and if there are any events or tournaments coming up on the weekends I'll post them here so ya'll can see. If I'm up there on a Saturday I can easily get a pick up game going. Though nine times out of ten I'm off in a chair bullshitting and trying to paint yet another for yet another faction.

I will have to try and make it out there sometime. I live south of Annapolis so it is not a bad drive out to Glen Burnie.

Hey guys, recently there was a big Infinity event in Texas called Rumble on Route 66. It has inspired some local players to think about holding a big event in the DC Metro area, specifically in Baltimore, at Games n Stuff (which had a 24 person Infinity tournament in Sept. 2012) around November of this year.
The thinking is to draw people from up and down the East coast. What would it take to get some of you to an event like that?

Well for me I just need to learn the game and be comfortable playing and then I would try a Tourney. Of course that all depends on the date, my daughters birthday and my anniversary land in November.

I was at that 2012 Tournament. It was fun, and I was still learning the ropes myself.
I hate werewolves.
I brought a Maghariba Guard, it was hilarious.
I'd be down, November is deadzone for me, and as long as I'm still living in the area I'm all for it. But if ya'll want to meet up on some other day and game and shoot the **** and practice I'm all for it. My work schedule is hell, but I always have Sundays off at least. Sometimes Saturdays.

FTW Games in the Richmond area also has a beautiful, dedicated Infinity table and some dedicated players... I'm soon to be one of them.
