Here's the list I'm starting with:
Kommander Strakhov (*6pts)
10pts worth of jack and filler
War dog (1pt)
Max Iron Fang Pikemen (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
UA (2pts)
Iron Fang Kovnik (2pts)
Max Man-o-war Demolition Corps (Leader and 4 Grunts) (9pts)
Kayazy Eliminators (Leader and Grunt) (3pts)
Manhunter (2pts)
Widowmakers (Leader and 3 Grunts) (4pts)

The plan is have the various Iron Fangs, Demolition Corp and jack do all the heavy lifting as both units can handle single heavies, high DEF low ARM, or low DEF high ARM, and the Jack will go after any heavy target they bring. The eliminators are for solo/UA hunting and the Manhunter and Widdowmakers can eliminate small threats and hit targets of opportunity. I figure If I cast Occultation on the Demmolition Corp the combination of ARM 16 and stealth will keep them alive. For Strakhov's one jack with Superiority I want to try the Grolar with Torch being my second choice. Even at -1 MAT an auto knockdown weapon is just as good as sustained attack by my estimate and the Autocannon looks more reliable than Torch's flamethrower. The loss of immunities and smoke bombs doesn't bother me. The last point would be spent on Reindholt because I can't afford $$$ wise to swap the Manhunter for Yuri or add a Gobber Tinker.

However the big question is the Black Dragon or Standard UA for the Iron Fangs? If I take the standard UA the plan is to have them get the speed boost from the kovnik and mini-feat first turn 14 inches up the field to sit on the middle of the board and hold the line in shield wall until the rest of the army arrives. If I take the Black Dragons the IFP make up the first wave and Shield Wall up until they can charge and mini-feat and the entire army is trying for the charge rather than letting the IFP act as bait.

So any obvious weaknesses and/or opinion on which UA is a better choice?

Why mini feat first turn when you could just walk or run first turn and then charge+shield wall turn 2? I've always felt it was a better use of the mini feat to get the charge off followed up by the extra move and shield wall.

My opinion on the grolar is still skeptical. PP has noriously given us garbage ranged jacks and I am not so sure this one will be any better. Does it have reach? Many people take the spriggan for it's high threat range and toolbox but strakhov improves threat range by quite a bit so maybe the grolar would work well. Still not sure if its tiny gun is worth the premium.

Thank you, I am an idiot for missing that obvious of an answer to the UA question. BD limit me to turn 2 charge only while the standard UA can do both.

As for the Grolar I plan on treating him like Torch, you take him for the POW 18 weapon and special rules, not the dinky little gun. The idea of a Pathfinder SPD 6 (Superiority) jack that can burn a focus for even more speed and 3 melee attacks base (admittedly one at RAT 4 and low POW) just seems like too much fun. Plus that first hammer strike landing helps the other melee attacks unlike sustained attack, and between Superiority and a boost anything DEF 14 or lower is probably going to be hit.

Black Dragons are fearless. That seems to be their main appeal from the Khador players I've talked to. If you're looking for a filler jack, why not save a few points and use a Juggernaught? Superiority on it doesn't seem too bad. With that savings, you could trade in the Man o' Wars for an actually good unit. There's also some good Merc solos you might be interested in. Goreman, Eyriss, Syliss, etc.

Believe me, if I had the money I'd get 2 viable units and attendant UAs WAs and solos but the IFP + UA is going to be enough of a stretch but I'd realy like to get my slabs of armor and assassins on the field in proper games sooner rather than later. Currently all I have is a juggernaut, decimator, Torch, and Black Ivan for jacks, manhuner, war dog, IF Kovnik and Reindholt for solos, and Kazay Eliminators, widowmakers, M-O-W Shocktroopers, and M-O-W Demolition Corp. I looked at the WGDS also but Strakhov does nothing for it and I doubt their ability to hold on long enough for the M-O-W turttles to arrive and the Eliminators and Manhunter to get into place. I went with Demolition Corp so the Kovnik could get the IFP up the field rather than babysitting the shock troopers as they stumble foward. In combat the Demo corp have backswing or an additional die of damage while the Shocktroopers have CMA both have reach and with Ocultulation (upkeep that provides stealth) I think they'll be equally surviveable meaning that all that maters is their combat abilities wich is where the Demo corp win.

I did not realize that grolar has an open fist as well as the gun. That's a solid looking jack. Good pow on the hammer, auto KD is hot and actually synergizes nicely with the gun since you can KD your charge target and guarantee the gun to hit or shoot another target. No reach but the extra movement will make for that somewhat. It looks like a really good jack for strakhov. He can get a max of what 15" charge range plus all the other little moves. Gotta be careful of charging him out of your Ctrl area haha

In adding it up, it looks like you could move even further. His hammer pushes his target 1" and let's him follow. Plus strakhovs overrun could give him an extra advance so you could move an extra 11" on top of the 15" charge.
