What do you guys think of beasts of nurgle? Have you had success with them? I rarely see them in net lists. Now that drones are a bit more popular maybe people will give beasts another chance.

Beasts don't do anything. They don't have the killing potential to be used offensively (which plague drones can do). They can't tarpit the threats daemons need tarpitted (like other MCs). And they are too expensive to just leave around to just counter charge or defend the back lines

I mess around with them. They are okay when taken in units of 1 for distraction purposes. Most weapons that can 1 shot a beast when shot at 1 beast are an utter waste of firepower. They have enough oomph in combat to make them useful just don't think they will win the game by themselves and they won't disappoint.

I have also toyed with a beast star. It probably will never be great but when you stack enough stuff on them they get pretty good. A huge beast unit with epi and grimoire is pretty hilarious BTW.
