Ok so the Nurgle list I came up with is very simple, it marches towards you and wrecks face, but it got me thinking. Can a Tzeentch mixed army work. Lots of shooting and combat threat.
This is my offering.
Lords
Daemon Prince- MoT, Chaos Armour, Level 2 (Lore of Metal), Lesser Gift- 375
Daemon Prince- MoT, Chaos Armour, Level 2 (Lore of Metal), Lesser Gift- 375
Core
10 Pink Horrors- Standard, Musician- 150

10 Pink Horrors- Standard, Musician- 150

Special
6 Flamers- 240
6 Flamers- 240
6 Flamers- 240
6 Flamers- 240
Rare
Soul Grinder- MoT, Daemonbone Claw- 270
Soul Grinder- MoT, Daemonbone Claw- 270
So:
- Princes are screened by the grinders into combat, presenting 4 BIG nasties.
- Horrors are the chaff for redirecting and generally annoying the enemy whilst all providing possible magic outputs.
- Flamer units will pump out on average 20 str 4 shots per unit and have a small enough footprint to march into position out of charge arcs and keep unloading str 4 shooting.
- Kinda like playing the Welves list of move and shoot, with combat ability.
Thoughts?
Can it work?

Will it work? No. You have no reliable way of breaking combat res. Remember. The DoC princes aren't unbreakable. At 3k, I'd drop the second prince, turn the first one into a super chicken and pick up a third grinder. Edit: I'm too tired to use words correctly, apparently.

The Army doesn't want to see combat, horrors help to dictate where the enemy is and the flamers with such a small footprint would aim to move/march into positions to unload str 4 shooting out of charge arcs. running rings around the enemy.
i did consider swapping a DP for a LoC. L4 on metal?
although a 3rd Grinder sounds groovy, it would mean taking 3 naked grinders due to rare points limit.

If you don't want combat, Just go Kairos. Otherwise, go for a LoC with an exalted and a lower. And swap the exalted out for the eternal blade.

Again, I'd advise on getting a lesser on the level 4. You have a 1/36 chance of getting ASF as it stands, getting a lesser changes that to odds I am too lazy to calculate, but are better.
As for the flamers, drop them down to 3, in each unit, which will get you another unit.
And, I don't have my book to hand, how much have you got in rare?

Grinders are rare, you can only have 2, correct?.
Flamers, meh, just never had any luck with them. Also you are running the risk of giving regen to enemy units twice a turn, in the shooting and magic phases. If you face a regen heavy army your screwed.

3k allows grand armies, which brings it up to 4 special and 3 rare, I believe.

3k allows 6 special and 4 rare.
unfortunately 3 naked ginders is the max rare points spent.
the lesser gift would be nice but as you can see from the list there isn't really anywhere you can drop to get it easily.

Personally, I'd like to see a herald in the list. Because rerolling that double 6 is helpful, and it provides another channel.
This dude, and the lesser can be added by simply dropping a unit of flamers.

Had a rethink on this list based on advice and my own thoughts.
Lord
Fateweaver- 565
Heros
Herald of Tzeentch- Level 2 (Metal), BSB, Burning Chariot, Lesser Gift- 245
Exalted Flamer of Tzeentch- 90
Core
12 Pink Horrors- Full Command, Gleaming Pendant- 191
12 Pink Horrors- Full Command- 186
12 Pink Horrors- Full Command- 186
12 Pink Horrors- Full Command- 186
Special
5 Flamers- 200
5 Flamers- 200
5 Flamers- 200
Rare
Soul Grinder- 250
Soul Grinder- 250
Soul Grinder- 250
Total= 2999
Thinking is Grinders screen the BSB and Fateweaver.
Exalted runs solo and is either a distraction of enemy shooting or he drops either a flamer template on ranks or grapeshots high value targets.
Horrors run for redirecting and annoyance, flamers move out of charge arcs unloading Str 4 everywhere.
Thoughts?
Better?

Drop the three units if Flanders to four apiece. And atick the three extras in their own unit. Same number of shots, but more versatile.
