The rules for ordnance on vehicles say if any ordnance weapons are fired, all other shots are snap shots. Does this include flyers?
The situation was a chaos plague drone firing it's S8 AP3 large blast profile which is an ordnance weapon. Would that mean the other weapon (TL autocannons I believe) fire as snap shots?
The flyer rules specifically say a flyer can shoot 4 weapons at full BS. Is this a case of specific overruling general?

Another example that came to mind was a valkyrie with its non-blast ordnance missiles. The rules allow 2 missiles to be fired a turn but they are both ordnance and count as separate weapons. So does that mean a valkyrie would be limited to 1 missile a turn since ordnance weapons can never be fired as snap shots?

Yes other weapons fire as snap shots.

This is even true for a Valkyrie firing hellstrike missiles

It is a case of specific over general.

The general rule for flyers is they fire 4 weapons at full BS, then the ordnance rule specifies that if you fire an ordnance weapon, all other weapons snap fire.

Build a man a fire, he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Can't the opposite also be said?
"In general, vehicles that fire ordnance can only snap fire other weapons but flyers are specifically allowed to fire 4 weapons at full BS."
I don't really see either one as more specific or general than the other.

I agree that it is 1 ordnance weapon and the rest snap fire but it could be argued either way so your statement isn't really concrete.

the same argument used to be attempted for Signum and snap firing. didn't work. after the Ordinance shot, subsequent shots will snap fire.

you automatically lose points for using the trite gamer-isms: balanced, meta, Mat Ward, etc.

but signum was FAQed to say it didn't work and this is something completely different (signum being a modifier to snapshot, this is seeing if snapshot even applies)

Ordnance is more specific. Your general allowance on firing any weapon is overridden by how you fire ordnance, same as it is overridden by how many missiles you can fire

which is the more general rule and which is the more specific rule? we know ordnance is more specific because its making an exception to normal vehicle shooting rules.

Fun Issue: what if you are firing 2 or more Ordnance weapons(again, non-super heavy).

Discuss.

P.S. this issue is part of why I never leave the hellstrikes on my Valkyrie.

One will be at full BS, the other(s) snap shots.
Added restrictions if they're blast.

vehicle and Ordnance rule page 71 wrote: However, a vehicle that fires an ordnance weapon can only make snap shots with its other weapons that turn.

You are firing 2 ordnance weapons, both of those weapons make the other fire as a snap shot.

Both are snap shots(along with any other weapons fired)
