The bulky look of the knight reminded me instantly of the sort of clunkiness of the Zeon suits (as well as the gundam inspired riptides around the net), wanting to paint something blue I decided on trying a scheme taken from the Gouf Custom. Only not a Char theme because it's used often and I couldn't be bothered trying to make a chain axe.

For those unfamilar with Gundam, it was inspired by this.

Good deal. Nicely weathered.

Just me but you might consider some detail work on the cables and gearsjust to make it stand out a little more.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

I think some weathering would help break up the blue a bit.

Looks pretty good!

Thanks
I suppose I could try to break up the blue a little, but I wanted to try to stick to a cleaner look with this so tried to do that with some inks and highlighting here and there. I think it worked more on the lighter blue than the dark. Looking at the back of the chainsword, probably could do that area a bit to define the edges there a bit more.

Personally, I think it could actually use a bit more blue. The front of the body is reasonably balanced, but the sides, back, and extremities are pretty heavily dominated by the grey/black. Hitting a few more areas with the appropriate blue - knee armor plates and chainsword housing with the lighter, perhaps some of the larger reactor/fuel/whatever housings on the torso side and back (I see two at the side and one at the back of the waist, plus the Mechanicus-stamped reactor dome - any or all are viable) with the darker - would further break up the black expanses without requiring intricate detailing (which I still might recommend a bit of) and be more in keeping with the inspiration, which reserves grey/black for the odd accent (chest plate), additional gear (esp. weapons), and various small worky bits (like fingers, vents, etc.).

Overall this is a very nice job. I would really urge you to reconsider that freehand on the shoulder shield thing. It is really dragging the whole thing down

I'm going to try giving this a bit more blue and I couldn't agree more with the shoulder freehand, I haven't been happy with it at all so far. I sort of think it'd look better with nothing on it at the moment.

Dude, the Gouf Custom on a Knight...the internets bow to you.

I love the scheme and how it's presented, well done!

As a long time gundam fan, much respect from me for making an Imperial Knight into an homage to Norris Packard's Gouf Custom. That said, the free hand on the tilt shield is a bit naff; have you considered getting a principality of zeon decal and using it on the shield instead?

Working on splitting the shield diagonally with the lighter and darker blue with the lighterside for a kill tally. The darkerside will have a Zeon insignia if I can find my 1/100 Zaku II box otherwise I may just get a new Zaku.

Edit: Found the transfers.

I like it, maybe a little more blue. Norris Packard will approve of this.

-And if my Broadside-Guntanks saw this on the board, they would be very concerned.

The shield logo looks a lot better now, the other one was too weedy looking.
