So I never venture into about 85% of the forums on this site. So I think having the ability to 'hide' a forum would make navigating the site a whole lot easier.

This has been asked before; as I recall the answer then was that filtering on a per-user basis would be too database intensive. That may have changed since this was last asked and since the server was moved but it didn't appear to be a development priority.
