Has anyone done this? I've got 20+ older Deathwing metal terminators (with matching metal arms). I was hoping to maybe modernize them a little with newer arms, but I was worried about the scale a little. I haven't found much on the subject digging around the 'net so far.

Just checked with some spare bits and they seem to work quite well.

EDIT: I thought the assault cannon might look a little off, as the plastic storm bolter is pretty chunky compared to the metal but it seems okay. Powerfist is perhaps a little on the bulky side compared to the metal terminator body but shouldn't be too bad. The arms are noticeably larger though but, hell, the terminator models don't exactly have the best proportions anyway do they!

Got any pics? I was thinking about buying a set of the new DA plastic shields to replace the older metal shields I have for starters. (for my 5 man TH/SS team)

The old metals are slightly smaller than the current plastics but should still work well enough. The really old metals are the ones that will look noticeably off when put next to the rest of your models.

About as old as it gets for me.

Would Forgeworld parts be any better? I'm thinking of the Tartaros pattern armour, it seems a little less bulky so it may scale better.
