Hello all, I've been on here a few times lurking to check things, ect. just figured I would actually register for once.

Played BattleTech waaaaaay back in the day when it was brand new, haven't played much except RPG's since, but 2-3 years ago started up Tau in 40K after my friend's nagging to start playing. Recently (around the middle of last year?) started up Dark Elves in WFB.

Thanks!!!!! When I played it was all about just the Houses, Clans came later, but back then the PPC on the Marauders and was pretty nasty!!!!

It was a great game!!!

We were playing as merc's, I was maneuvering to engage and enemy Mech, suddenly I get hit by a PPC out of range.. I said that's too far, he advised me that my targeting computer was having difficulty identifying the mech, like switching back and forth through several known models... GM says take the damage, I'm like nope, too far. My pal Mike was another player looking at me like what the heck? Because I was the closest unit to this enemy unit. I took the damage, and when my pilot could make a visual of the enemy the GM placed this odd looking model down... I was like what's that? Thus a campaign against Clanners had started.
Good times, the GM had done a swell job at telling us to stay away from the new books etc, I did that exact thing, boy was that a surprise!
I wish I had my BTech stuff still. But now there's Titanfall, I picked it up with the XBOX One last week, man this is the closest thing to Battletech! I love it! Not a miniature game but still, I'm a first generation video gamer so I'll probably always dabble with those things. Been a good balance of miniature painting, building, video games can take up all the minature time if you don't watch it. For me anyway.
There is no heat issues though, it's shields insted. Love the pilot jump packs!

Damn I like the way he introduced them!!!

My friend is in on a Robotech Kickstarter, I am hoping that it is going to be sorta like it.
