Hi everyone! I'm planning on taking advantage of the new dataslates in an upcoming tournament and wanted to get your input on my list. I've always been partial to the Nidzilla approach, and with the release of the new dataslates... Well, I had to go for it.

---------------------------------------------------

HQ – Prime, 2 Boneswords 140

T – Warrior x3 90
T – Termagants x30 120
T – Tervigon 195

E – Venomthrope 45
E – Zoanthrope 50

HV – Mawloc 140
HV – Mawloc 140
HV – Tyrannofex 175

BBN:

HV – Tyrannofex 175
HV – Dakkafex 150
HV – Dakkafex 150
HV – Dakkafex 150
T – Warrior x4, Barbed Strangler 130

---------------------------------------------

My basic plan is to attach the Prime to the Venomthrope, and reserve the Mawlocs. I'm a big fan of Tyrannofexes with the Acid Spray, as they solve pretty much any problem that I could run into - though I would like to find out if taking the electroshock grubs is worth it? Let me know.

The 'cunning strategy' that I would most likely employ is the tried-and-true screening gaunts followed by every monstrous creature available, simply charging across the board and having lunch. Any thoughts on list construction or strategies? I feel that I have enough synapse, but do I really?

Thanks!

I like the cut of your jib sir Personally I don't buy a Tyranofex without putting points into a Thorax Hive, so if you can cut loose 30 points I reccomend it.

Again "just me" but I think you are fatally short on Synapse, as the most obvious "answer" to this list is Synapse hunting, and at those point levels. Most everyone will have the resources to do it.

Cutting to make space for more means losing a Big Bug, or an equivelent, so I don't know what to say. Me? I'd drop a Mawloc, and toss in more Zoeys, durable Synapse, and more Powers of the Hive Mind! too boost your Big Bugs...

Late entry: So, drop Mawloc, add two Zoeys, Buy Thorax Hives, spend last 10 on a upgrade for somebody...

What about dropping a Mawloc and a Warrior, as well as the 2 boneswords on the Prime, then taking a walkrant with either a cannon or adrenals?

Still keep the MC thing going, but lose 2 t6 wounds and gain more synapse and a more durable warlord.

I suppose I could just take the thorax hives instead of upgrading the tyrant at all, as well.

Any input folks?

Revisions have been made. Not much synapse in this list, but I have a good feeling about it regardless.

---------

Prime, LW/BS.

Termagants x30
Tervigon (troop)

Venomthrope
Venomthrope

Tyrannofex
Dakkafex
Dakkafex
Dakkafex
Warrior x7, barbed strangler

Tyrannofex
Mawloc
Mawloc

-------

42 t6 wounds, 3 t5, 25 t4, and 30 t3. All under cover, almost every model multi-wound. The firepower 18" and less is brutal, and CC is not going to be an issue.

Just looking at your original list, I think you could run double Bioblast nodes. Of course I am not much of a Mawloc fan, so that was my first conversion thought, the second was a to run a wrecking node. The wrecking node would also help with synapse issues. 3 hunger fexs with an extra hammer the option to re-roll ones ain't bad.

I had thought about 2x bioblast nodes but the list would be even more unbalanced, with less durable synapse (can't afford a troop Tervigon in that list).
