Been playing Malifaux for a while (since 1st edition). And have played several crews. Recently I picked up the Mei Feng crew, painted them and got them on the table. I played a game (which I won), but I just didn't get how Mei Feng is supposed to play.

For example, I play Rasp and know her thing is whipping spells through frozen heart, and Viks are fast moving glass cannons.

But for whatever reason I just couldn't figure out Mei Feng's "Thing". Is it burning? Because it seemed a little hard to actually getting burning on for somewhat little benefit. The way I played was basically just as super survivable and out lasted my opponent.

For the record I have the crew box, and some metal gamin.

What am I missing?

Burning is secondary for her. Her railwalker ability is her "Thing." The Viks have nothing on her speed-wise due to railwalker and its build in trigger that lets you take the action again with no limitation on using the trigger again and again on subsequent actions. With the right cards and good spacing of her construct models (Metal Gamin and Rail Workers) she can get from one side of the board to the other with one AP.
