The bike squad is too small to accomplish anything. Even with MoN a 3 man squad is an easy kill and will most likely give your opponent first blood. Also how do you plan on playing this army? Could you walk me through what you're game plan is?

Drop the csm squad and bring another plague squad. CSM are supposed to be a versatile unit. they are not. Plague marines when brought as troop choices may be one of the best objective holding units in the whole game. you don't need to run a 9 man squad. 2 seven mans will do you just fine. when you bring gun upgrades bring 2 guns. one isn't going to help much. the problem with melt as is you'll probably find your plague squad won't often be located in a place for its best use. I bring two plasmas. Gets hot is annoying, but you have a 3 up armor followed by a 5 up FNP. You'll find they won't die that often.

Also as chaos. Dirge and dozer are must rhino upgrades.

Also, chaos needs to bring and aegis with z quad gun. there are just too many flyers in sixth edition and the quad is the only viable chaos AA option.

Hi there, thanks for your replies. You're right about the bikers they were mainly put in to fill the points. However the main plan was to have the cultists hold the home objectives while the plagues with lord and csm went to grab the opponents objectives while being supported by heldrakes to thin their troops and obliterators to kill the big things.

I am not a fan of the black mace on a non MC. AP4 really hurts it. I would also try to find room for VotLW on the oblits. LD8 isnt good and they aren't fearless. CSM squad I would change to a PM squad instead and drop the numbers down with both squads since you really don't need full 10 mans with PMs. 2 squads of cultists might be too much but it might not be bad. I personally run 1 but its fine either way. And I would definitely find a way to fit a few more wounds in the bike squad.

I would drop the CSM and drop the 9 man plague marine squad to 5. They can take double special weapons at 5 man and are really tough so can last in small numbers.

5 plagues in a rhino with dual melta and 5 plagues in a rhino with dual plasma should leave you ~70 points.

I would then put the brand on the walking lord and put him in a rhino gives him a 18"+Flamer template threat zone.
Then give the bike lord Powerfist/Lightning claw combo and use the 70 points to either up the bike's numbers or swap them for MoN spawn.

I have ran very similar to this and its worked very well.

Was also thinking maybe taking away the bikes and the bike lord and adding in a deamon prince with MoT in its place or would this be a bad thing?

Thanks again.

I like it, Personally i would try and fit in a fist or Claw onto the biker lord, id probably drop the dirge casters and blades. I dont want my plagues charging anything they are mid field campers in my eyes.

I'd recommend changing the lord with the combi-bolter. It's really not worth the points. If you want to take a second lord, I'd recommend a power first, lightning claw, and sigil of corruption. This will cost you 130pts and will rip through most units.

I agree, there's no point in taking the second Lord in the current configuration. Fisticlaws would give him a concrete purpose.

The second lord doesn't do anything for you. I'd get rid of him and get an aegis defense line with quad gun The quad is Chaos's best answer to flyers. Plus it will protect the cultists while the hold you back line objective. I also don't really see what the second cultists do. Maybe combine them into one cultist ball. It will make them very hard to get of the point. Use one to man the quad. Its twin linked so you should hit 3 of the 4. Also have you seen the new helbrute data slate. You can attach one to ayour cultists. He becomes a special character, which means you can use cultists to look out sir and keep him alive. While he is alive they are fearless. when he dies the cultists become zealots. If you give him a twin linked las cannon you can point and click on tanks pretty much anywhere on the table and hurt them. If you give him the thunder hammer in the other hand you have an answer to deep strikes.

Sorry I realised I didn't write down that the second lord was on a bike with that in mind should I still swap him out for the deffence line? As the defence line would be great for AA as I dont have any apart from the drakes.

I am in the same boat with the Spawn Vs Bike question to escort a fistclaw lord. Im leading more towards the spawn as its more wounds at the same T, no save but a bigger hit in CC, With all the oblits i dont think you will need the extra melta the bikes offer.
