Right so hi guys, I don't often post here but I figured that if anyone's going to give me decent modelling advice, it's the people of dakka dakka.

So anyway I want to start a Horus Heresy Imperial Fists army based around Sigismund and his Templars. So the Templars aren't hard to model, I have plenty of bitz for them and black templar upgrade kits aren't hard to get a hold of however I don't know what to do for Sigismund himself.

So that brings me to the question on everybody's minds, what do I use to make Sigismund?

I'd say using the Emperor's champion model in some way would be quite apt. Either that, or something in a duelling stance.

Definitely would involve the Emperor's Champion model or the Company Champion bits from the command kit. Maybe the older Emperor's Champion model if you can get it.
I think the Legion Champion is also a good choice.
Perhaps this Masters of the Chapter model could also work?

Why not use an Emperor's champion until FW releases an actual Sigismund model for their HH series?

Yeah I have thought of using the old Emperor's champion model (the metal limited edition OOP one). One thing a friend of mine said was to use a cut-down nemesis dreadknight sword on the newest Emperor's Champion model but that seems a bit silly to me :S
