So my friend played a game with space marines the thing was is that he used this "squad formation" of turrets kinda like the ones from dow.
The thing that bothered me is that it only cost him 100 points for three turrets with twin linked lascannons and he got to decide where they went (I cant remember if it was only aloud in deployment zone ) I know they have a BS of 2 but still!!
Im just curious if he could do this I think that point value from forge world stuff is already kinda wacked but this is crazy obscene!!

'Turrent' is a common way of incorrectly spelling 'turret'.

if they were tower shaped turrets they may have been Vengeance Weapons Batteries but they are only available in pairs.

A trio of Tarantulas with TL LC is only 75 as of the most recent book. But there are limits on what they can shoot at, they have fire modes that determine arcs of fire and range, it's much less than a usual lascannon.

I honestly do not know. I first encountered it when I was young, in Louisiana. I've heard it sporadically throughout the US over the years.

That isn't really super cheap for three BS2 lascannons or whatever. They can't move, score, or really do anything if they get charged. I wouldn't think it's cheap or overpowered or anything of the sort, and I personally wouldn't take them unless I was making a special scenario where I was using them as part of a defense network or something. They seem like a fun, thematic unit, but hardly anything worth writing home about.

Yeah, I can get three in an IG army for 105 points, and give them orders. Or put them on a Vendetta for less, although that's sure to change soon.
