Hi Guys,

I have searched everywhere and cant find my answer.
I know there is little info on the first war of Armageddon but I was
hoping that someone could help me out here?
I just want to know what, if any titan legions were part of the first war?
I understand that the Traitors had Legio Mortis and Legio Vulcanum 2?
Did the Imperials have anything? or do the steel legion have their own titans or something?

Given that the first war of armageddon was purely a world-eaters show, I wouldn't expect Angron to tolerate any titan legions of chaos undivided or other gods hopping along for the ride.

Official artwork of the war does show titans in the background (unless that piece with the grey knights butchering khornates with a warlord in the background is fan-art), but I can't see any markings on the titan to identify the legion.

Well from a purely titan point of view, only as titan can challenge one in battle with any ease.

It doesn't look like there were any, certainly on the Chaos side. The chits from the board game do not include any chaos titans.

Also the steel legion can't have titans as they are not an Adeoptus Mechanicus force but rather normal IG.

It's possible that the war moved so quickly they were unable to land titans.
The SW got there just in time to help rally the defenders and hold the line.
Landing a titan would take time, effort and space superiority which the Imperial may not have had. They certainly didn't have time.

Er, the board game DOES have Chaos Titans, a single counter of Death's Heads (stated to be unaligned in the rules). On the official GW download (I don't know if it was the same as the printed version) it's on the counter sheet next to Von Strab and the Grey Knights.
The game gave the player no Imperial Titans during the first war, however the game only covered the content of Armageddon Secundus, there could have been Titans present on Armageddon Primus.

D'oh, you are correct. I only looked at one of the counter frames. Good catch.

Ok, so I ask this because I'm building an apoc army to vs my brothers world eaters, I am theming it around that 1st war and I have a Reaver and not sure what colour scheme to do!
Should I just go with a red mechanicus scheme or would it make more sense to do something else?

Titans are all in the possession of the Mechanicus, so it's hard to go wrong with their colors, but the Titans themselves have seen thousands of years of service, so it could be customized in any way its Princeps (or Princepi) have seen fit over the years.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

There are Khorne aligned Warlord titans (Banelords) and at least one Khorne aligned Emperor (Abominatus) so I can't see any reason Angron would be opposed to them joining the fight.

Well yes those would probably go along for the ride.

We know he also brought along plenty of giant khornate daemon engines so he wasn't lacking for heavy support.
