It doesn't make it not a back door though, it's just not that useful. Besides if someone did steal a console then there they go not that it matters at that point.

It's not a back door, it's a front door that's been left with a key in it.

If you have physical access to a machine you can usually bypass the security of a device. That said this should have been picked up in testing.
