What do you think? It was painted in about 2 hours with a simple, but effective (in my opinion) colour scheme.

Looks good man, should be very effective for a large mass of infantry. The fabric effect you achieved is great, very Wermacht like.

It actually looks pretty flawless. I'm surprised---I really can't find anything wrong at all.

I think it looks great. For the record though, it's important to note that Dakka members are very lazy and most would prefer a lack of spoiler tags.

Aren't those shoulder armour bits a royal pain in the ass to glue on?

Looks good, did you do anything special to counteract the shine washes can somethimes leave? I've got a few slightly glossy korpsmen in amongst the ranks from when the wash went on a touch too thick.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Paint looks good, but the lush green on the otherwise barren base seems a tad out of place to me.

I removed the spoilers

It might look so right now, but with the context it works. It's supposed to be an Imperial city that has been long abandoned and thus sunken into the swamp it was built on. The base is not actually completley done, there is supposed to be a pool of green water effects on there too, and many bases will also have ruin parts, pipes and other "city-stuff" on them.

Looks good. Care to give a rundown on how you did the greatcoat?

Also, I like the colours overall, but I feel the helmet and gun would really benefit from an intermediate highlight between the base colour and what you used for an edge highlight.

Good work though. With a bit of practice you can probably paint them in an hour and a half or less.

What's he looking at?

Otherwise, it looks great for the time put in. My only possible complaint would be some wash splotches, but greatcoats are supposed to look stained anyways.

Nice job.

Yeah, I've also thought about the highlight thing, I'm gonna try and see how it looks.

The coat is Dawnstone (Codex Grey) washed with Nuln Oil (Badab Black) and then drybrushed with Administratum Grey (Fortress Grey).

No, only the sergeants have backpacks, as a way to discern them. Forge World doesn't provide laspistols and swords, so they have ordinary lasguns in their hands. They needed something to make them stick out.

Right, somehow only the at ease squad has pistol/ccw

Mind you, you can give lasguns to your sargeants, so either way works.

Looks really great! Only thing that came to mind is that you may want to maybe weather the great coat a bit? Like the bottom of it would probably be a bit dirtied with mud/dust.. Just a quick drybrush at the hem of it would do wonders at telling the story of the mini
