I am looking to find a way to convert my own Aetaos'rau'keres. I was thinking of getting a regular Lord of Change and give him the wings of Kairos Fateweaver. Would this be legal for a tournament?

You'd have to ask the tournament in question. There are no hard and fast rules concerning conversions.

Because is the FW model the 'offical model'? This is not stated anywhere.

Well, I'd at least try and make him a bit more grandiose and perhaps taller.

He is the lord of change to end all lord of changes and should thus be as over stated as possible.

Is this a 'rule' or just fluff wise. Because fluff wise you are absolutely right but I am trying to find out what the actual rules regarding stuff like this is.

So where does GW state that the Marneus Calgar model that they're selling is the 'official model' for Marneus Calgar? By selling the model as 'Marneus Calgar'.

So as to the original question, there are no hard and fast rules as to what conversions or proxies a tournament will allow. We can't give you an answer. You will have to ask the tournament organizer in question.

The Forgeworld model of that LoC is pretty huge, being a Gargant MC. As a TO, I would not allow a model the size of a normal LoC to be fielded as a GMC.
(With the exception of the stupidly-sized C'tan, since it's a GW model.)

You'll need to make something a lot bigger. 8-9" tall, with a 12" wingspan at least.

He's near Harridan sized whereas a LoC is smaller than a Carnifex. This would be modelling for advantage.

As a person who owns the model I agree with this. The model is huge and dwarfs a standard LOC, the size difference alone would be modeling for advantage.

is your tournament allowing Imperial Armour books?

you automatically lose points for using the trite gamer-isms: balanced, meta, Mat Ward, etc.

Rule wise, he is a flying gargantuan creature, so a lord of change would be to small

Dem Inquisishun humies can't be trusted any further dan day can be thrown, which in dat one's case might be a bad example.
