Hey there guys, recently ive scratch build a huge (Slightly larger then a trygon) Ork DD.
There will be picture up tomorrow after i finish of his feed, but i just wanted some help with how much this would cost points wise.
It will be using made up rules of course but my FLGS said i could use it if i can give them a list of what wargear it has and the points tally.

So far it has the following profile and weapons:
"Orkz' and Grotz' Suppa Dakka Killy Monsta"
Twin-linked Deffgun
Zap Guns
Boom Gun
Kannon
Scorcha
3 One shot only rokkits (i was thinking these can be bought at 5 points each and they can all be fired on the same turn?)
Dreadnought CCW "Da Mega Klaw-Grabba-Crusha" (+1 on Vehicle Damage chart?)

WS:4 BS:3 STR:7 INIT:2 A:3 (Its piloted by both a Grot named Orkz and an Ork named Grotz)
F:13 S:12 B.10 HP: 4

Scrap Armour: 5+ Invun save
May take the following Ork vehicle upgrades: Rep Paint Job, Grot Riggers, Grabbing claw for there standard points.

I know this may seem grossly excessive but when you see the actual scale of the model you will see why is has an obscene amount of dakka.
i was thinking around 300-375 points, what do you guys think?
Pictures will be posted tomorrow dont worry!

Sounds like an Ork Mega Dread or Meka Dread to me. Google "Forgeworld Dread Mob" for free legal rules for this bad boy.

Meka Dread; A big Deff Dread HQ choice, with a 5++, special anti-tank melee bonus, lots of guns and stuff, and can be warlord and join a unit of Deff Dreads
Mega Dread; Heavy support big deff dread, can carry killkanons

Does it have all of the weapons you list, or are those options?

The amount of weapons you have on your Ork walker make it difficult to fit into an established niche. If it's bigger than a Trygon (I presume just a little) It's much too big to be a Deff Dread and a little too big to be a Mega Dread. Additionally, it's far too heavily armed to be anything short of a kustom stompa. So, that is where we start.

There is a kustom stompa builder in IA8. Dakka does not permit me to give detailed cost breakdowns but I can tell you a stock Stompa starts at 350 points, and that's without any weapons. Being able to equip what you have weaponwise is a non-starter for 375 points balancewise. You either need to ratchet down the weapons substantially, or go bigger.

My advice is the latter. A fairly close equivalent to what you have is this kustom stompa:

Base Stompa

Arms: Bursta Gun, Titan CCW

Shoulders: ZZap gun, Deffgun

Hull: Kannon, 3 supa rokkits

Total cost for this is 560, and I couldn't even fit all the stuff you wanted on there. So, there are some balance issues here; if you are planning on all of those weapons. You can equip something called a Deff Arsenal which would allow you to represent everything you want on that list physically on the object (although it will only count as one thing rulewise).

If you don't have IA8, and If you friends want to play with it we can try and make it work with Codex: Orks but you're probably not going to want to pay stompa price for deff dread survivability.

EDIT 2: I accidently deleted my previous post, it was just saying thanks for your help you guys, and just give me your imperessions on the model itself, and then tell me what rules you

For the size you have, I would remove some of the weapons and use the Mega-Dread template and points as posted by Dakkamite.

Haha alright man thanks for the help
I guess next time il have you go even bigger and better!

EDIT: I looked at the rules, im going to make it look abit more Mech-Like and give it the following

Rokkit-bom packs-Fits perfectly with the rockets on its arm
Rippa klaw-His left hand
Big zzappa-For its tri-barreled LasCannon part of its arm.
Going to try and custom build a KFF for it.

That sounds like not only a good fit between model and rules, but also a really useful unit. Can't wait to see it finished.
