A while back Talisman: Prologue came out.

It was okay, we gave it a Bronze Award, but we bemoaned the lack of multiplayer, and a strange emptiness that seemed to permeate the reimagining of the classic Games Workshop boardgame as a single player experience.

But, as the name suggests, it was the first chapter of a larger whole, and Nomad Games has just revealed over on the Touch Arcade forums that the second entry into the series, Talisman: Digital Edition, is set to hit the App Store towards the end of the month.

And this plumped up version of the age old tale of wizards, warriors, and toads looks like it might address a lot of the problems we had with the first bite at the Talisman cherry.

For starters there's two multiplayer options. You can pass and play with friends in the same room, or connect via Game Center to play with people from all over the world.

There looks to be a more polished single player portion too, with AI options to tweak, optional house rules, and special cards you can unlock with the XP you earn as you play.

We're cautiously optimistic about this one. Talisman is a great game to play with friends, and if this digital edition can nail it, and take away the faff of cleaning everything up afterwards, then we're all for it.

The game will land on iPads first, at the end of April, with iPhone and Android versions set to follow afterwards. We will, as always, keep you posted as and when we get any more information.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Thought this was for the PC version and was very confused, because I've been playing multiplayer for months with my friends.

Good game though, and worth it if you're a fan.
