If anyone is so inclined, I'm having a great deal of trouble trimming down this 4K list for a 3.5K game vs. Orks w/a Stompa. The original game was set for 4.5K, but had to scale down at request of opposing player...having trouble with the last 500. Any other feedback would be welcome, as well, including if you just think its weaksauce, but (a) this is for a non-tournament though fairly competitice game, and (b) I don't have access to more than 1 additional more scythe, and no more Annihilation Barges or Wraiths...for the time being

Alot of the thinking with this list was to get the Night Scythe A + B on the board early by way of Zandrehk and the Comms Relay, plant them down in front of the enemy LoW, take over his firing for a round by way of Arankyr + Chronomteron, then unload the Haywire, Gauss, and Tac Arrow an try and bring him down on Round 2...not sure if this strategy in general is overkill or underkill, or how it would play out on the tabe. It seems overkill, but fun as its about 700 worth of the army to take down one unit, proably much of which will die in the wreckage if it even works

Okay what have you got to add to it, I know you said you don't have any more night scythes and you don't have any more wraiths, but do you have

Scarabs, Tomb Spyders? , Immortals, Extra Crypteks? Do you have Ghost Arks?


You can actually I believe first turn kill that Stompa with a Veiltech and Stormtecks w/ Voltaic Staffs. I would also with that point value go with Imohtek, his ability is to powerful in big games as you get to roll for every single unit on the board. Next up, normal C'Tan w/ World Shaper and Orikan , first turn everything moves as if it is in Dangerous terrain. Another really high point value combo.

I would absolutely take Imohtek though, he's to good to not take in huge point battles. Also More Despairteks.

The pont is trying to shave down the list, not add to it Anyway I, shoulda mentioned that.

Yeah, I will probably swap the DL and/or NZ to get Momo...I momentarily forgot abaout im against big horde armies.

I would most certainly take Imohtek he's just too good in big point battles like that I'd also take a Ghost ark and 2 large squads of 20 warriors w/ a Necron Lord w/ Res Orb along with a Tremortek guy who reduces charge range for those two big groups and then Voltaic guys with Lighting Field.

Revised list for tonight's game. I'll let you know if it worked out for me. I'll need to flash paint another Cryptek table-ready...hopefully I'll have time for that.

Yup...I'm playing this list until someone beats me with it.

List looks pretty good, only question I would have is what's the point of the Stalker?

Most of your shooting is already twin linked, so if your taking it for the heavy gauss cannon then I think you would be better off dropping it and a whip coil to bring back the 3 heavy destroyers you had in your first list.

Stalker was for the Troops and Monoliths, and it worked out good. While most of my army was trying to bring down the LoW in R1 and R2, I hit a separate target with the Stalker's longer range TL HGC (it hit every time), and used the Target Relay to bring it down at ~24" range with troops.

Worked like a charm. Every time I bring a Stalker, it pays itself back with high dividends. I know they're not the most popular model in the codex, but they work for me.

Good list, but trim down on warriors and monoliths and replace with tesla immortals and doomsday arks if you can

Fortification worked great for me. Cover saves all night long, and reroll reserves for the Night Scythe for 60 points? I'm taking it everytime unless I'll be facing masses of indirect or ignores cover fire.
