I realise that this is probably a hugely specific question, but does any one have a good technique to paint battle sister's eyes? The layout of the hair and armour plate make it difficult to 'dot' them, and the face doesn't really suit itself well to washes.

Any ideas, or am I stuck with just keep trying?

I just try my Damnedest to not get paint in them. I prime white, so.

The best advice I can give you is to wash the face to create darker shades around the eyes, then go for a dot-and-smaller-dot approach with white and black.

Black then a dot of white in the corner. When there's an inner eye squashed into the hair I just darken it and leave it at that.

I've totally given up painting eyes on humans. Too hard to make them look anything but cartoonish.

I would just wash black ink around the eyes.
