So first off hello to all! I'm DvsFx an avid gamer across all genres, I like to think of myself as being pretty artistic and thats where I believe my draw to Warhammer came from.
I use to have a small ork collection half a decade ago that was the envy of my friend who got me into the hobby solely on the paint job alone I mean I think it says something when I have a mere $100-$200 worth of miniatures to his $1000+ collection of CSM and hes the one thats jealous. Anyway I lost my entire collection sum time ago it was missed but I didn't put to much thought into it until now.
I felt this urge come over me to get back into the hobby maybe it was the hivemind calling me home or something else altogether but either way I felt the hunger.
As of now I'm looking to start anew and picking an army is my first stop on this ride so I'm open to suggestions and any tips/advice you can bring
Although I like orks having to start from scratch musters an off putting taste in my mouth so ill stay away from them for now but I do prefer the more abnormal, otherworldly and darn right evil armies both look and history behind them so my eyes are on..
Chaos Daemons - love the look of these guys especially the tzeentch ones.
Tyranids - The huge models are too cool! But these guys seem a tad overplayed and thats something that puts me off
Dark Eldar - Cunning, agile, pill popping sex-addicts? DE seem like they have all that except a comedic side
But if anyone wants to throw out their 2 cents very much obliged and look forward to meeting you all.

Well DE are very unforgiving, and generally not for newer players
Tyranids have just been screwed over unless you use the formations and you may find it hard
Daemons are always extremely fun but be prepared for some random games with all the d6 tables in the book.

A new ork codex is rumoured to come out soon, so check the news and rumour forums and welcome to dakka dakka, have fun

Alrighty thx for the help maybe roll with the daemons then and maybe get a unit from an additional army just to see which I enjoy most.
Necrons seem pretty cool and forgiving to play.

How'd you lose your collection? Maybe the Orks got the wanderlust?
