So I've even thinking about starting a small allied detachment for my Space Marines but I'm a bit confused about where to start. I saw the codex and I think that henchmen with power armor might be the way to go? I also can't seem to find much in the way of models. Anybody have any advice for what to use? The new stormtrooper guys are cool but a bit expensive for the amount I need. The older storm troopers seem pretty good.

So any advice on what maybe I should run, or what models to use would be appreciated. Thanks.

The thing with inquisitorial forces is that you will have to convert pretty much everything, being that you have marines you could use marine bodies as the base for power armoured henchmen then add other details.

For bits the most bang for your buck is the 5th ed Catachan Command Squad (still available at a lot of stores) with it you'll get some good bare arms, special weapons, 5 bodies, a bunch of decent heads and a whole bunch of other good stuff.

You could also look into some of the fantasy kits, some of them might have good looking heavy armour and they would have a different look to them is you did it right.

Also if you don't mind doing a lot of cutting the starter set Chaos Cultists are very cheep and make great henchmen with the right details.

Just my two bits, I'm working on an Inquisitorial force right now and loving it, if you want I can send you some photos.
