So I tried to max out DE strenght : Speed and Dark Lance, which is why I took two Ravager and a Raider rather than a second Venom (that and the fact I needed to put my Haemonculus in a squad).

What's your opinion ?

its nice even though i prefer venoms over raiders its not the case but you only have 2 squishy units for objectives

i'd make a 10 man warrior squad in a raider with splinter racks.

and a 5 man true born squad in a venom. with some special weapons

in a 500 pt game you don't need so much high str shooting ie. 6 dark lances.... I'd only take 1 ravager and maybe throw in a squad of scourge or even another venom with 5 true born if you going for the fast vehicle option..


I personally like the idea of taking the duke and deep striking a raider with 10 warriors close to an enemy squad and opening up 20 t-l shots and overwhelming them with fire power..... never actually tried it but it's still something i think could work well

with regards to the cc my opinion is to AVOID it as much a possible!! i've played atleast 8 or so games against a friend as chaos, BA, nids, daemons, SM... and every attempt at cc he has usually is focused down before they even get near or when they get into cc the low str and low ap usually just gets them killed...

2 venoms and 2 ravagers will work better. Shredder is kind of situational and a bit pointless really.

You might be better taking wracks with the haemo and using the spare pts to get night shields on the vehicles.

Lose the Shredders in the Warrior squads, and add a second Splinter cannon to eavh of the Venoms. Your cost will go up to 110, but 12 poison shots from each Venom is really fun.

Lose one of the Liquifier guns to compensate for the points.

I agree that one Ravager is fine in a 500 point list - and this looks good for a starting list.

Might be best to drop 1 wrack and stick the haemo in their raider (which I'd swap to a venom).

Drop the shredders, add blasters. Drop the animus it's not worth it.
