What do you think of this list dakka? It's definitely fast tank spam to the max. I feel that I can actually do some respectable damage to most other armies with this list including tau. 1 failed lookout sir and invuln save on that commander in super star from a vindicator shell and pop goes the ignores cover. Other than that it's a very straight forward list.

You saw a lot of these lists during 5th. I would drop your dozer blades to get some special weapons on the marines, you are going to jump out eventually. With the Vindicators, you might be better off with the assault cannon Baal's...but that's personal preference.

Search around and you will find people have math'ed out that the AC is better than the Lascannon on the Raven.

What is you plan with the Librarian? You used to be able to cast Shield from inside a transport but cannot anymore.

I also dislike the Vindicators. I would go with more tanks that engage at range: autolas preds.

Well, it reminds me on Mercer's BA army. Have a look into battle reports. He took a lot of pics.

I like the tri-las preds or even auto las preds, but they are pricey in points. I figured vindicators gave me some harder hitting shots IE roll 2d6 take the highest for pen as well as a bit of AOE control. The other reason I think they are ok with the BA army is they can move 12 and fire the cannon giving them around a 36" threat range. AC on the raven I never thought about, but I like it so I will definitely swap that around. The libby was mostly for a cheap HQ, but also he can get divination allowing him to TL someone if i absolutely need it, or put him and a squad of marines that manage to roll up red thirst

Vindis big problems are that they are effectively AV 11 and that they are terrible against MCs.

Nice! I'd personally go heavy bolter sponsons and flamestorm cannon on the baal but that is just preference

I agree with you whole heartedly on the terrible against MC's. Unless i get a lucky first turn shot on a daemon prince other than that not much it can do other than 1 wound. But they are decent anti horde weapons and a lot of bike armies around my area as well as tyranid players. I feel that between all my las and plas I can handle anything big and scary coming my way.

I'm torn on the heavy flamers or heavy bolters. The bolters would definitely let me fire both my weapons and give my tank range easier, but it's nice to have some stuff that ignores cover in the army as well. will test out both

Ye the ignores cover is nice but that's why the flamestorm cannons there. Depends on your meta but flamers sides is usually overkill hence why I go heavy bolters to pop off a few troops while the baal makes it up the table.

Ended up running this list, was one Las plas turret short of running 6 razorbacks with it so had to use one of my TL las. Went up against Tyranids and managed to squeak by a win. Flyrant went down first turn as well as a crone in the scouring got lucky and one of my objectives gave a marine squad skyfire. List prettym uch won it for me because my tanks booked it to a 4 point and a 3 point objective for me with troops at the end. I really like it. It has a high amount of quality firepower. Baal were pretty pointless as well as vindi. Cooked some gaunts and swarmlord gave them furious charge which = dead tank
