World currency? what is that, bitcoins? and no other international site I have seen defaults to your local currency unless it is based on your own country. maybe it's about time to grow up and stop trying to sow the GW sucks seeds everytime sonething happens?

World currency is currently is the USD.
If it was GBP, or the Yen, or the Australian Dollar, I'd feel the same way. It's a design flaw IMO.
The software should be sophisticated enough to recognize from what economic zone the transaction is coming from, and bypass that UN section. I actually think they put it there on purpose.

Even Dakka can tell country by IP address. It's easier to have it set manually though, but medium to larger companies should be able to detect and change the currency to suit it especially with GW's stance on trying to prevent sales from GW sites to different regions. Do you do anything here besides trying to push your own opinion onto others? Because that's all I've ever seen from you and frankly its just as bad as this blind hatred you seem to see everywhere; even in threads where no one has actually shown any hatred. People can form their own grievances and opinions much like you can yours, deal with it and ignore them if they infuriate you so. Because at the end of the day do they being annoyed at GW really affect how you see them? No, unless you're not as secure in your opinion as you wish to be. It does not need your defense.

No, it can't. IP's are often leased from foreign nations when another nation is running out of their own assigned IP blocks. What Dakka does is get lucky and doesn't frequently have users (though there are some) that are using foreign proxy servers to route their traffic through (in which case you can watch the flag next to their name in the forums change, based on where their proxy server is located).
The relatively-small number of users on Dakka, however, are world-wide users, so the statistical chance of having someone using a proxy or a "rented" IP are fairly slim... of course, you wouldn't be able to tell, unless you knew the person posting wasn't actually in the country the little flag icon suggests they are.
The United States, for example, leases entire IP ranges, like, say, 1.56.0.0 to 1.63.255.255 (that's over half a million IP Addresses) from China, because we've exhausted our own blocks.

Just so its known too, I am no GW hater. Check my history of comments if you are stone cold dead bored to death. Any complaints I've ever made have been about their high prices and, now I guess, their website. I don't buy directly from GW, so its a moot point for me personally.
I am a fan of any and all rulesets I've ever played with the name Rick Priestly in the book, especially Lord of the Rings, but also 40k and Hail Caesar. And one further, the artistic and creative design team at Games Workshop should win friggin medals in the field of sci-fi table top gaming, as far as I'm concerned. If you disagree, let me know what game you're talking about.

All I meant was majority currency. Most of the money in the world moves around in the USD. I got that idea from keeping up with the news.

Been there, done that. When I was in China this summer the country flag next to my name bounced around between countries like crazy depending on the day. And that's all I will say about that.
