Hello everyone, so I am getting into the AM fever just like a lot of other people and was wondering if I could get some help finding alternate(or bits) to make my AM fit into my theme.

So I run a Ordos Xenos army that runs the full spectrum of books. The Space marines are designed and equiped to be playable from any book(One of my summer projects is to magnetize EVERYTHING, this army has over 100 marine bodies).

I also have a inquisitor(solomon lok) and am going to be converting a coteaz(Got his arm in a bitz box for dat raven) and making a bunch of henchmen.

I have a Knight detachment(waiting on the lancer for the third knight)

I am getting a few death korps of krieg for my birthday this winter to represent IG (will be painting them up in the Ordos Xenos Scheme)

So here is my question and I would appreciate any help

For the henchmen I was thinking Elysians for acolytes - Thoughts?
However the problem I am running into is that I dont have any idea what to use as death korps conscripts. They are too few and far to expensive to get the actual models(mob of 50) so I was wondering if anyone had some advice on that front? I looked at maybe merging puppetswar heads and the like with cadians, but cadians look way too different. I looked at victoria miniatures, but at that point for the price I might as well get death korps.

I am also converting my land speeders to storms so if anyone has seen a decent tutorial for that, let me know I would be interested in seeing it.

You could always use Wargames Factory Greatcoat Shock Troopers. Still got the greatcoat and helmet look, but are cheap as chips and pretty good quality.

Those look pretty sweet. They might work in a pinch. Might need to find slightly more detailed heads and arms though.

Anyone have experience with the eiserkern stormtroopers from dreamforge? I looked at some comparisons and the legs really make them standout from GW sculpts. Wish I could see them side by side with deathkorps

EISENKERN APC might make a sweet taurox replacement as well. Dont know if they are out yet though.

How about pig Iron Kolony Militia? Slightly more expensive than Cadians, but cheaper than DKOK, and more detailed than the WGF models.

As for Dreamforge, I don't own any myself (They are on the list, though), I've never seen anything other than praise for them, and the Leviathan made by the same company is a stunning kit, so I can't fault them on quality. Certainly a safe buy quality-wise.

By dint of being better proportioned, Dreamforge models come out a bit bigger than GW IG (longer legs and torsos) and are noticeably bigger than FW IG (bulkier as well as taller).
