So I recently faced off against a 30k death guard list and won one, lost one. However, my win was more luck than skill and my defeat was crushing. I had a hard time dealing with his armor and massed infantry. My crimson hunter didn't even come close to earning it's points so I'm thinking about kicking it. Hear is what I have so far but I have 80 points to work with. Thoughts?

I've been playing a lot of Iyanden over the last few months and I started out with a list similar to yours but I have made some changes.

I found that dropping the 3rd wriathguard squad for some rangers and jetbikes (and always reserve them) has been extremely helpful for me in objective games. I know that it isn't playing to the fluff of the craftworld, but it makes objective games a lot easier.

I've also started taking a war walker squadron with starcannons backed up by a farseer with the divination primaris power and they can easily deal with power armour infantry. I don't know if the math is better on taking the Dark Reapers which do a similar role, but someone on the internet may have.

I've also found that the greatest weakness for Iyanden (well at least for me) has been bailing the wraithguard out too quickly and not being able to hold objectives late in game. Mainly it's because I roll objective games more often then not when I play and people shoot everything into the few wraithguard that I have.

Hope this helps.

Well on the note of the CH, that's bad luck, they are the best AA unit in the game but take a little skill to use. The dark reapers don't fit the theme so you can drop them, and take 2 WL with duel SL which is more AA and anti hoard, Plus in big guns its more scoring and is hard to shift when in cover.

My thought is to play defensively until the enemy is within range of a couple d-scythe strikes with my WK providing anti-armor and the war walkers and serpents giving me reliable anti-infantry. Thoughts?
