I guess I'm not the only one but I extremely dislike the fact that the space marines are not as kick-ass as they should be when we compare crunch to fluff.
I ask thee to share your ideas on how to have marines fight more like their fluff but still keep them balanced.

Basic format:
Fluff: reason
Crunch: New rule or rule change
Points: Points in or decrease for this rule.

Fluff: They can shrug off wounds that would kill a normal man.
Crunch: 2 Wounds for all space marines except scouts.
Points: +5 points per model.

Fluff: Terminator armour enhances strength more than power armour does.
Crunch: Strength 5, Toughness 5.
Points: no additional points.

Fluff: The 1st company warriors are legendary veterans.
Crunch: WS 5, BS 5, to all veteran astartes. Terminators, Vanguards, Sternguards, Honor guards.
Points: +5 points per model.

You got to playtest it. seems like an extra wound for 5 pts is too cheap especially for termies that are gona get 2 wounds t5 2+ and s10, and +1 ws/bs for +5 pts is too much if you look at sternguards and vanguard vets. It might be interesting to toy with such changes, but needs alot of playtesting and ballancing.
