Hey all,

As a long time Eldar player it's a personal ambition to paint all the Phoenix Lords for some sort of diorama. I've been meaning to get round to it for ages but have only recently had a chance to get started properly. I've started with Baharroth and Karandras and will keep posting more as I go along - Asurmen will be next.

It's been quite challenging to get them done with limited time/ability and I'd be the first to admit my limitations with a paintbrush, but overall I'm really pleased with how they've turned out. Thanks for taking a look - all comments and advice are very welcome!

One thing I'd say is that you should maybe try to highlight the 'hair' on Karandras a bit more. It's looking a tad flat. Either do a more severe wash on it or use a lighter color for the highlight?

I echo the need for highlighting on Karandras' dreads as well as Baharroth's gun.

Otherwise, they look good!

Looking good! I'd be tempted to remove the tab on baharroth's foot.

Thanks guys! To be honest not highlighting the hair was an effort vs reward decision - the old metal models chip so easily it would have been soul destroying to keep having to go back and redo things I'd already painted (the highlights on Baharroth's wings were bad enough!). I'll keep it in mind next time I do something similar though.

Hey again, so I've finished the next lord in my collection - 3 down, 4 to go! I was expecting Asurmen to be one of the easier ones but he actually has a lot of deceptively difficult detail and I can't say I'm sorry to see the back of him! I'm still pleased with how he turned out though. Let me know what you think! (Sorry the image quality isn't all that great).

Just finished Fuegan - been a bit short of time recently so some of it was a bit rushed but I'm still very pleased with how he's turned out. Sorry about photo quality, had to take them on my phone so the highlights look a bit dull.

Also one of him and his buddies - 4 down, 3 to go!

As an Altansar craftworld Eldar player, I love them so far, but I will wait for Maugan Ra. lol
