I have read 4-5 novels of the Horus Heresy now. There seems to be a coming battle on/for Terra. In which book(s) can i read about the actual batttle? I feel like the books are starting to take me on side plots.
Thanks you!

The Battle of Terra hasn't been covered yet. And yes, they are all basically on side plots because a lot was going on during the Heresy. The Dark Angels were dealing with internal fighting, the Ultramarines were getting attacked and delayed so the Traitors could advance on Terra unmolested by the massive UM force.
The Battle of Terra was simply the climax, but not the end either. There were many years of warfare to retake the planets lost to the Traitors and drive them into the Eye.

The original Bill King tale

The Heresy series is basically the fluffing out of the story up to this moment, so yeah, it's all subplots, unnecessary subplots. Unnecessary, but enjoyable, in the most part.

Pilau: thanks for posting that. Awesome read that actually fills in a few details. I can only hope the battle for terra book will be even close to that level.
