I'm going to be in a tournament on the 26th of April at my FLGS and I'm working on my army list. I was originally going to do a Dred Mob Army list, but I'm not sure the Lifta Droppa arm I need for my Big Mek Stompa will get to me from Forgeworld in time. So in case it doesn't I've prepared a second army list that I'd like some opinions on.

The rules for the tournament are: 40K 2000 point Single FoC 4/26 11:00 AM - 3 Rounds Altar of War with secondary objectives - forge world, allies and formations allowed. Maximum of 25%(500) points allowed for allies + Lord of War + Formations, no named characters outside of Primary FoC.

LoW:
Kill Bursta with Grot Gunners, Twin Big Shoota, Bursta Kannon, 2 grot sponsons - 450 points

HQ:
Wazdakka Gutsmek - 180 points
Big Mek with KFF and 'eavy armour- 90 points

Troops:
7 Warbikers with PK nob - 210 points
30 Shoota Boys - 180 points
24 Slugga Boys - 144 points
25 Slugga Boys with PK nob - 185 points

Elite:
14 Lootas - 210

Fast Attack:
Dakkajet with additional supa shoota and flyboss - 130
Dakkajet with additional supa shoota and flyboss - 130

Heavy Support:
Deff Dread with Big Shoota and Rokkit Launcha - 90

For a total of 1999 points. What do you all think?

Your lucky that arm hasn't arrived. Because when it arrives, you'll be obliged to look up the new rules, and then you'll give up on Orks forever in despair

How 'competitive' are you looking to go here? As it stands the lists needs serious tweaks to make it strong casual let alone 'competitive', but I'm assuming your aware of that because Deff Dreads and Slugga Boyz.

What would you suggest then? I'd like to be as competitive as possible, but I'm limited to what I actually have.

The netlisters will say lootas, big guns, shoota boy mobs, meganobs over nobs, big meks over warbosses, nob bikers, and dakkajets.

I say play what you want. Learn by experimentation. Every unit in your army has a use, find it and exploit it. I fought an imperial knight primary detachment. Against horde its a very bad match and i lost on the first fight but then I did my research and found out what deff rollas do and well, lets say I won the second time. Point is this, play what you want and adapt it according to your foe's weakness. The best part about a win is knowing that you lost the fight before.

So where are the actual rules for the Lifta Droppa? I like the look of it, but cant find the rules for it anywhere? Like can it be used with Codex: Orks, or can it only be taken in a dreadmob army list? I would appreciate it if I could just get some general rules updates etc. Thanks!
