Hi all,

Sorry if this has been posted before but my quick search did not yield any results.

Q: What is the best way to remove Citadel Finecast miniatures from their sprues? Most notably Dark Eldar models like the Succubus, as they are notoriously fragile.

Thanks in advance,

WeLikeLead

I clip off most of sprue with the plastic clippers, then use a sharpened knife to cut away little bits.

P.S This isn't a tutorial

Yeah, use a fresh knife blade, good/sharp clippers and go careful. Clip fairly close to the injection point and clip the thinnest points first. Clipping at a thicker point first will require too much pressure and will flex the component and possibly snap it. After that shave off the nubs possibly pushing against a firm surface depending on the shape of the bits.

The same goes with any fragile or delicate bits.eg 1/35 Dragon weapon sprues, or plastic Malifaux miniatures.

Good luck!
