Is it legal to move 12" and disembark from a open topped fast skimmer (DE Raider) and still Assault?

Fast and Skimmer do not modify disembarking rules.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

No, you can only disembark after moving 6 inch or less

No. Assault vehicles do not override the restriction of not being able to disembark after moving more than 6 inches.

Only a 6" move, but your disembark allows you to be within 6" of the hull after disembarking, so your getting more than just 6" out of it.

Add in a 2d6 assault move with fleet on most DE units, and you get a pretty impressive threat range.

But fast vehicles counts 12" as combat speed. Does it changes something if its skimer?

12" counts as combat speed for shooting.

That way,then left

Checking the Fast vehicle rules and the Skimmer rules would tell you that no, nothing allows you to move farther than usual and still disembark

page 79,
For those curious where they can find the Rule stating Unit can only disembark if the vehicle has moved less then 6 inches.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

To clarify, 12" is ALWAYS cruising speed, and 6" is ALWAYS combat speed. Fast only changes how many guns you can shoot at each speed and how far you can move flat-out. I think you're thinking of how 5th edition worked.
