So as conversations with my friends who play 40k invariably turn into hypothetical "what if" scenarios, it was postulated that if the Imperium came across a xenos species that used demaons, that it would be possible to have Deathwatch kill teams, working in the same theatre of operations as Grey Knights.

Now my take on it was that the Ordo malleus would either pull rank or work in back ground, while the Deathwatch would do the overt work without realising the Grey Knights where about.

However Inquistorial shanigans taken into account, would it be possible that they could be aware of each other to co ordinate operations? or even that the actual forces involved could be aware of each other?

What are other peoples thoughts on this? Any extra scenarios are welcome or even fluff examples.

Thanks for your time!

Blessed is the mind too small for doubt.

The GK are extremely secretive. While they might do joint-operations with the Deathwatch, any Deathwatch Marines who witnessed the GK in action would be mind-wiped after the action.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.
