I got wiped in campaign mission 1. But with the new IG/AM codex, I'm ready to take the fight back to the filthy xenos. Rules are 750 points, no vehicles except dedicated transports and walkers, no monstrous creatures except HQ choices, no flyers of any kind. I'm interested in a double master of ordnance build (especially since I'm not allowed any tanks). I plan to park my CCS squads in chimeras and call down artillery strikes, I plan to try and focus fire units out of existence. Get my PCS on an objective and turn them into a fire base, focus firing with my chimeras. The conscripts + priest are my assault squad for taking objectives, the infantry squads are for holding them. Veteran plasma bus for hunter-killer operations. Is it viable to rely on the two M.O.O. to soften up the enemy at long range, so that my guardsmen don't get chewed up? Depending on the enemy, I might have to deploy my CCSs and order fire on my target, to get MOO to ignore cover (Eldar jetbikes with jink were my undoing last time around). Thoughts? CCS M.o.O.
