Heyo all,

I'm currently working on a Bloodwrack Medusa as a counts as Chaos Daemon Prince/ss. (Much inspriration http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/585445.page

I've primed her white, based her with Vajello Sunset Red (70.802).
Then drybrushed on a 1:1 Sunset Red and Pink (70.958).
Followed this up with straight pink.
Then a 1:2 Space Wolves Grey : Pink.

I'm intending to wash it with a 1:1 mix of Carroburg crimson and Druchii Violet and if nessecary follow up with the top highlight.

Now it looks great as it is but a little "Dry". I've always found with drybrushing a wash will blend the colours perfectly together when working with my Deathwing. That's my first question.

My second question is, in order to replicate proper snakeskin, should I varnish the snake parts of the medusa. I only own Satin varnish, would this be acceptable?

Pics when I've got a bit farther, been fun moving away from drab colours I'll tell you that!

For the Lion and Terra!

Because nothing in the galaxy is black and white, Mankind views the Space Marines as a last resort. The last line. When all else fails. They take up the burden. The noble defenders of Mankind. The last hope.

With finecast you can bypass the washing stage and throw them straight into the bin.

Or cut out the middleman and just flush some money down the toilet.
