HQ - Overlord W/ Warscythe and Resurrection Orb - 130pts (With Immortals)
HQ - Necron Lord W/ Orb - 65pts (With Warriors)
HQ - Necron Lord W/ Orb - 65pts (With Warriors)
Troops - Necron Warriors (X12) - 156pts
Troops - Necron Warriors (x12) - 156pts
Troops - Immortals W/ Tesla Carbines (X10) - 170pts
Dedicated Transport - Ghost Ark - 115pts (Following up the Phalanx too heal warriors and provide fire support from the Gauss Flayer Arrays)
Heavy Support - Doom Scythe W/ Death Ray and Twin-Linked Tesla Destructor - 175pts
So this is a Dynasty i created myself and i have a Story line behind it. Basically during the War in Heaven the now called "Red Suns" and their Overlord Nemekher were the personal Guard of the Silent King and his most Loyal servants, In return for this service he promised them freedom and peace for the rest of their lives. However when the Silent King made the pact with the C'tan to encase the Necrontyr in the lifeless metal bodies and strip them of their souls, the Red Suns felt betrayed and so launched a rebellion to overpower the Silent King and save the Necrontr, Although the Silent king had the great support of the C'tan on his side as they couldn't let the opportunity pass up so the C'tan and the Silent kings servants launched an attack on the Red Suns during their march to the Silent Kings Tomb World, The Red suns so determined to save the Necrontyr fought ferociously and caused the C'tan to retreat, In an dire attempt to stop the rebellion the Silent King Himself charged the Red Suns ranks and opened a tesseract labyrinth trapping Nemeker and His army in a pocket dimension and being converted to the Immortal Necrons. However every 125,00 Years the Stars come into the same alignment as they were when the Silent King trapped them in the Labyrinth them many years ago, For a short period of time Nemeker and his "Red Suns" escape from the Labyrinth and wreak havoc on any Tomb World or Eldar Craftworld to avenge the deaths of all the Necrontyr that lost their freedom during the transformation. The last reported sighting of the Red Suns was in M141.31 When a Valuable Scythe Matrix belonging to the Loyal Sautekh Dynasty was Destroyed and all its inhabitants either Killed or Decommisoned into spare parts, Over these periods of Pillaging and Murdering the Red Suns grow stronger as they gather a vast array of weaponary and inevitably, more free Necrontyr.

It's a decent list, and it's great to see some background fluff even with the perspective making them out to be heroes.
Only recommendations play wise would be to switch out the Doomscythe for a Nightscythe for the Immortals. That'll free up points for Warscythes and Semp Weaves on the Court Lords. If not, and I understand why, then you might want to consider switching out the Immortals to Tesla. Gauss doesn't outshine Tesla till you get within Rapid Fire range. If you're planning on being aggressive with them, or your meta runs heavy on the aggressive players, then keep the Gauss for sure. If you're going to use your Warriors to go out and get objectives and kill the enemy, then the Tesla will fit your fluff for the destruction they will cause.

Yeah i think il go for Tesla definetely, However the idea of the list is to get as close as possible to the enemy then unleash the Gauss Flayer and Tesla Lightning strikes on them while not being whittled down on the way by using the solar pulse to keep it night fighting, so the likes of Basilisks and Leman Russes wont be able to do anything to them. And i wish to keep the doom schythe as the Death Ray is needed to give Air Support and take out long ranged threats on the field. All in all thank you for the feedback and im glad you enjoyed there back story fluff and it does really fit in nicely and seem like it has just popped straight out the codex. So do you think this list would be good at Tournaments ?

Not commenting on the list itself, just the fluff.
You should find another Necron player sometime, have them play as the "Sautekh Dynasty", an agree to give both of your armies Hatred against eachother...just for kicks.

Tesla doesn't need to be close. 24" just as good as 12".
Also, for night fighting, do IG have spotlights? Every Marine army I've played Crons against has, cant remeber about IG, if that's what you're facing frequently. Automatically Appended Next Post:

As I stated, if you're going to be aggressive with them, then keep the Gauss. Once you get within that 12", then that Gauss will outshine the Tesla. In keeping with your fluff, then keep the Gauss for Story based games. In Tournament play, if you're going to start them on the board, then Tesla will be the way to go, since you'll need to keep a unit back on an objective that is on your side. Tesla just allows them to participate in the fight w/o having any reduction in their effectiveness. You'd also keep them back in your fluff games as more of a Tactical Retreat and not the aggressive fluff you probably have in mind.
DeathwingSeargent wrote:while not being whittled down on the way by using the solar pulse to keep it night fighting so the likes of Basilisks and Leman Russes wont be able to do anything to them.
Night Fight isn't nearly as effective as it used to be and doesn't prevent the unit from firing, and I don't want you to be under any illusions about how this won't save you. It'll reduce the number of incoming casualties for sure, but most of what's going to kill you is going to be small arms fire, not the big guns, especially at this point level. As above, there are so many ways around NF for it to be reliable in a Tournament setting. For Fluff reasons, KEEP IT FOR SURE!! (For some reason I have a 'Darkwing Duck' style intro forming in my head)
DeathwingSeargent wrote:And i wish to keep the doom schythe as the Death Ray is needed to give Air Support and take out long ranged threats on the field.
The Doomscythe, like a majority of the Necron arsenal, is limited by it's 24" shooting. While the Flyers do have the mobility, they often show up late. When shooting at other flyers, the Doomscythe performs exactly the same as the Nightscythe, since the Death Ray won't work on flyers, and can't be used if you choose to shoot another Flyer. The Nightscythe is just as effective as an anti-flyer and will deliver those Gauss Immortals to inflict the Gauss damage you're trying to convey in your fluff. The Doomscythe is just as effective, but in practice you're going to have those games where you're going to have to choose between shooting the units on the ground, or reducing it's effectiveness by shooting at the enemy flyer.
Nope, but you'll have a TON of fun. At 1000 pts, it's a decent TAC list, but against the specialized list, you're going to struggle pretty hard, even if you switch to Tesla Immortals or take the Nightscythe. Personally, I'd still take it to a Tournament, but I wouldn't have any illusions about coming on top is all.

For a 1000 point list, this looks pretty legit to me.
What I suspect might happen is your unit of Scarabsmight get toasted quick since its a small group....but the Barges are likely gonna be target priority #1, so who knows?
What happened?? Bring the Barges back lol

Hard to say. Immortals are scoring, and Barges obviously are not. But you'd get alot more enemy destruction out of the Barges, I think.
By the way, 10 Immortals will be 170 (vs. 180), so there's 10 mre points right there.

Also, if you took the Barges, you would have 1 less troop for a Lord to cover, so you could free up 80 points by dropping 1 of the Lords.
But then again, you'd have one less scoring unit.
Decisions, decisions...

Cool...if you gotta theme, go for it.
If you're playing against Tau, I'd think you're most important thing to do is to put constant pressure on them by a constant, unrelenting advance. They are pussies. They stand behind cover in a gunline and fire away...if you don't stop that somehow, they are gonna mow your army down from distance.
I'd honestly say it's time to think aout bringing a Night Schythe instead of a Doom Scythe. That Death Ray is cool, but lets say on your 3D6 you roll a total of 9 instead of 18. Big difference. It's a gamble that can pay off, but most likely your gonna get in the 9 inches neighborhood.
The twin-linked tesla destructor is also on the Night Scythe, and a TL weapon with 4 shots from a BS 4 unit is no gamble at all, and will put the unit inside wherever you want them.

Yeah...play what you like! If it doesn't work for you, you'll find out in a couple games.
Gotta go. Good luck man! No matter what list you go with, give us an update as to how the game goes, if you are so inclined. You've certainly caught my interest.
