Ok here goes,

So since joining dakka and running throught the '40k Army List' forum, I've been slatted every time for having something slightly wrong or that's not a competitive thing to take. But i aint gunna listen to them anymore and just have fun with the game of warhammer and go for the units i find the tastiest.

I love wraiths, there (give or take) my favourite models in the warhammer world. More the better. Dont get me wrong i love the majority of the eldar units, but wraiths stand out for me. Now to start off with a 1500 full of wraiths, you aint gunna have much on the board (unit of wraithblades/gaurds - 160, wave serpent 115) thats alot of points for a low count army. So to start off with, i've compromised and came up with this.

The avatar can work, particularly when your going with other MC's and wave serpents(plenty of tough bodies to draw fire). Taking fast shot is basically required though, as a second BS10 melta gun shot is a steal for the cost. Considering it meshes so well with battle focus is all the more reason to auto take. For the most part, crushing blow not required for the avatar. Against really tough things, you will just smash for S10, so the extra boost only matters for T5 squads like bikes, or fighting MC's. Thing is, monster hunter costs the same and will net much more damage than crushing blow.

Wraithblades are not that great in a serpent cause they can't assault out of it, generally better to go on foot 10 strong. Always take axes and shields over dual swords.

Wraithlords usually want 2 of the same gun, probably dual lances for your long ranged heavy AT. I think you mean scatter laser for the second gun? The scatter can twin link the lance, but Av you need lances against are either immune to scatter lasers, or only get glanced. Better for 2 lance shots. Dual scatter and scatter star also work(the latter is all S6, so no role confusion).

Find points to give every clown a harlequins kiss. They suffer in this edition, but so long as you get the veil up, you should be ok.

You need holofields on those Spam Serpents. It doubles their durability and gives them some protection for when you drop shield. Definitely worth the 15 points.

I'd either dump the Wraithblades for better Harlequins or vis-a-versa. You've currently got two CC teams that either won't get there or won't do much when they're their. I'd suggest the blades because they're troops. Give them Axe/Shield and they'll melt through almost anything while being Durable (capital D).

Gonna need to drop some points from somewhere or change something out. Harlequins aren't a very strong choice and I would probably substitute them for warp spiders. You need more shooting and spiders can take down just about anything in the game. #bestunitever

I dropped the spiritseer and the unit of wraithguard as there were only two units of wraiths anyway, with those points i maxed out the wraithknights, dropped there wave serpent and added another unit of jet bikes. I pimped out the Harlequins giving them all kisses. I added a unit of fire dragons as it was lacking in abit of fire power. Another choice would be to take a unit of warp spiders instead of dragons and give the wave serpent to the Harlequins maybe?

Helvost almost has it, but needs a few changes.

1) drop scythes +50
2) 3 harlequins kisses -12
3) subtract 38 to make list legal
