So i'm curious about the Ordo Sicarus and I want to know what they do. would they go after rogue assassins that didn't return from a mission or report back? would they be assigned to kill one if they fall to chaos? are they just inquisitors that serve as assassins?

"Yes, and I'm tired of thinking otherwise."

They monitor the Officio Assassinorum, to ensure that the tasks that the Assassin Temples are being given are not being used to destabilize the Imperium, enact another Age of Apostasy, and so forth and so on. They also monitor the activities of the various Death Cults to ensure that they still venerate the Emperor.

I just kind of assumed they where an entire Chapter devoted to keeping an eye on Cato Sicarius of the Ultramarines.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

So would they take an active role a la inquisitor Eisenhorn with that? and what if the Deathcults turn to chaos? would they tag-team with the ordo Herectus to stop it or go in solo?

and would they use temple assassins for their cause too?

They take an active role in observing what it is the Officio Assassinorum is doing. I would imagine that the Officio sends to the Inquisition a list of all the wet-work and black-ops jobs they've been assigned by other Imperial agencies, and will not do the jobs the Inquisition says "don't do this, but do tell us more about this client...".

If an Assassin Temple has something going on inside it that is not part of the Temple's main outlook/philosophy, I would imagine that the Inquisition just tells whoever it is that runs the Temple to clean house. Only if the rot is present at all levels will the Inquisition involve outside agencies (whether that's the Sisters, a Marines Chapter, IG, Stormtroopers, another Assassin Temple, the Inquisition's own resources, whatever).

At least, that is how I envision it working. A lot of these groups, like the Assassin Temples, the Inquisition, the Space Marines, etc. prefer to be self-policing. In most cases, the Inquisition is only too happy to allow them to do so, unless such self-policing has proven to be ineffectual.
