Just be sure to put a heavy bolter on the hull somewhere to represent the hull heavy bolter and wallah. Could probably use a stubber to give it the look of a coaxial machine gun! Other then that, awesome.

Just wondering though, I think I would have 1 issue and that is facing of the tank. As the gun is not turret mounted you would have to rotate the whole tank to face the target, possibly exposing weaker armor to a direction you wouldn't want to. Also if the vehicle is disabled a turret weapon would still be able to rotate, your fixed gun wouldn't.

Or put the HB into a turret. I did that with my Lee/Grant Russ back when I had one with my Space Wolves Army.

I would rather let you count as any tank you like than see a conversion done on a destroyer. Those things are one of the best looking Forge World tanks, no need to spoil them. The rules for destroyers are not too bad these days anyway, although I would love to see a points reduction in line with the normal Russ variants.

I'd be cool with it in friendly games but we would have to clear up the issues first. I am all for rule of cool and I myself run a decimator as an Iron clad for my space marines counts as Iron warriors but for instance I only give advantage to my opponents as my model is 2x larger and can't hide as easily. Your model is actually smaller in silhouette and doesn't have it's weapon mounted properly. I'd concede the size issue as long as you had a consistent method for checking LoS and measuring. Like I said, I am all for the cool until the guy starts getting abstract with the LoS or mounting on turn 4.Models look ace!

Yeah, I'd lift the tank up (to normal turreted Russ height) if you wanted to shoot it, leave in down if I wanted to shoot, not use hb (since model doesn't have one), and have no additional upgrades. That'd be good compensation to use it. IMHO.

FW is supposedly looking through C: AM and determining what changes (if any) to make to IA1.

In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Me? Probably, though that'd depend on how you generally acted and if you were subbing them out for different tanks during different games.
I'd ask your local group though, we're random people on the internet who have no bearing on how your local players feel about it.
